Lil Tecca
Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe (born on the
26th of August, 2002) is known as Lil Tecca, is an American artist and rapper.
His single from 2019 "Ransom" was his breakthrough single. It reached
the top spot at 4 in the Billboard Hot 100. The mixtape he released as his
debut We Love You Tecca (2019) was the first to include the single. It reached
4 on the US Billboard 200. The mixtape also contained the two singles
"Love Me" and "Did It Again". His debut studio album called
Virgo World (2020), debuted at #10 on the Billboard 200 and included the
Billboard Hot 100's top-charting tracks "Dolly" and "When You
Down". The second mixtape he released, We Love You Tecca 2 was released in
August 2021. It included the songs "Repeat It", "Lot of Me"
as well as others. Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe was the child of Jamaican
immigrants. He was born on August 26, 2002, in Queens, New York City. Sharpe
was born in Queens' Springfield Gardens, and later relocated to Cedarhurst on
Long Island. Sharpe had always wanted to join the NBA when he was a kid
However, at the age of 12 he decided to pursue a profession in music. Sharpe
attended Lawrence High School. Tecca at the age of nine at the time, was
rapping with his peers with his Xbox to record. They would make diss tracks directed
at one another One of them was posted to SoundCloud many years ago. However, it
was removed. In his first years, he didn't have any intentions of pursuing
music a living and instead dreamed of becoming an NBA star. He began to pursue
music more seriously when he dropped his interest in basketball when he was in
middle school. His first song that became well-known, "Tectri", was
recorded in collaboration with Lil Gummybear and released in the early part of
2017. The other tracks he has released comprise "Callin" as well as
"Tectri". His hit single "Ransom," which was first uploaded
to Cole Bennett's Lyrical lemonade YouTube channel on May 22nd, 2019, began
Tecca's meteoric rise. The song reached the top spot at 4 on the Billboard Hot
100 chart and has received more than 800 million plays on Spotify and over 300
million views on YouTube.
