Emma Stone
Emily Jean "Emma" Stone was
born on the 6th of November in 1988 in Scottsdale, Arizona to Krista Jean Stone
(nee Yeager), an experienced homemaker and Jeffrey Charles "Jeff"
Stone, a contracting company founder and CEO. She is of Swedish, German and British
Isles descent. Stone began acting when she was a young part of the Valley Youth
Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona, where she made her stage debut in the production
of Kenneth Grahame's "The Wind in the Willows". Through her teens,
Stone was a part of numerous stage productions before she made the decision to
pursue a career in acting. The official version of the story is that she put
together a PowerPoint presentation that was backed by Madonna's
"Hollywood" and later titled "Project Hollywood", in an effort
to convince her parents to allow her to abandon school and relocate to Los
Angeles. Her mother and she made the pitch, and then moved to LA. The schooling
she had taken was done at home, and she would spend the rest of her time
auditioning. She made her TV breakthrough when she won the role of Laurie
Partridge in the VH1 talent/reality show In Search of the Partridge Family
(2004) which led to a number of smaller TV roles in the following years. After
a string of successful performances she was chosen to portray the character of
Jules in Superbad (2007). Her fame was as Olive in Easy A (2010) followed by
many more roles. In Phoenix, Arizona, she went to Xavier College Preparatory.
While she's referred to as redhead, her actual hair color is blonde. Judd Apatow
suggested that she change her hair color to fit the style of Superbad (2007).
The actress loved it so much, she chose to keep the color. At the age of 15 she
persuaded her parents that she could go to Hollywood. She did this by creating
a PowerPoint presentation titled Project Hollywood. She got her start in acting
at the age of 11 years old. age in the Valley Youth Theatre in Phoenix, AZ,
where she starred in over 16 stage productions and also performing in the
theatre's comedy improv troupe. Caylee Cowan was also an actor at Valley Youth
Theatre.
